Study Looks at Sitting As Equally Deadly As Smoking

Sacramento, California – Doctors are now looking at the possible health risks of sitting for long periods of time. There have been speculations that it could be just as deadly as your typical smoking habits.

It is already granted that sitting has become comfortable, especially in the work place. There have been several instances where the experts have asked about workers why they will not leave sitting. It has become a convenient and efficient way of doing tasks that are required in the office.

They have looked at the different reasons why people are sitting for longer periods of time. First off, they list those who are at work, those who watch TV, and those who are spending too much time at their cars.

These extended periods of time sitting have shown that a person could experience chronic diseases. This is regardless of your age. It may seem a little too much to call for help from an urgent care clinic, but prevention is always better than cure.

You can already check as early as now if you have such ailments related to sitting in for so long. Among the diseases that might just be available for you once you do not stop to stand for a while are heart diseases, diabetes, and hypertension.

It is already too bad to be sitting for 8 to 10 straight hours. Experts suggest that do not couple this with another reason for your body to fail – bad diet. You will lose the need to get urgent care once you balance it with perfect food choices.
