From an order from the Department of Food and Agriculture, Foster Farms has already recalled some of their products due to salmonella outbreak. The outbreak has been causing illnesses for over a year already.
There was an antibiotic-strain of salmonella found directly on some of the products of the company. Specifically, these are the skinless and boneless chicken breasts. The tally went to as high as 500 patients in just a span of 16 months. This number has led the government to take action already, aside from giving urgent care.
This cannot be tolerated by the US Department of Food and Agriculture. Right after the order was released, the company already recalled the products.
The Products That Were Recalled from the Market
The products that were recalled were dated from March 21 to 29. They have been to almost all over the United States. They have reached Alaska, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, Utah, and Idaho. Foster Farms took all the products, not just the boneless and skinless chicken breasts that were first reported.
To avoid more urgent care clinic visits, they also took thighs, drumsticks, liver, and chicken tenders. Others were labeled with Foster Farms while others took other names such as Savemart, Kroger, Safeway, Sunland, Valbest, and FoodMaxx.
They are still looking at the total tally of the products that were recalled.
Foster Farms Happily Took Part in the Action
The farm has been very cooperative with this whole operation. They may not answer the financial needs of those in urgent care clinics but taking action upon the order could already be enough.
They have always said that the health and safety of the public is their primary concern. They will do everything to keep everyone from urgent care near me with the quality of their products.
Foster Farms did not find the recall process as easy. It was really time-consuming and really costly. Add the embarrassment to that, as well. However, they have to do it. Since 2013, a total of 574 people across 27 states and in Puerto Rico have already been diagnosed with diseases related to salmonella. The government is just trying to be stricter to avoid these numbers from getting worst.
Foster Farms was also related to outbreaks in 2004 and 2012. It may be a completely different year but the same operations are done. Do you think the government should impose a much intense penalty? Or is a product total recall already enough?
