New York – There are already early speculations that Americans will expect an even more expensive health insurance in the coming year.
The year 2015 is not going to be a good year for those who frequent urgent care clinics. This is due to the increased prices for health insurance systems. There are no definite numbers yet on how much the increase will be.
However, experts see that it can rise up to as much as double digits. This is already getting worse. Just when the Affordable Care Act was enacted, the health insurance system already went to as much as 41 percent.
Looking at the Officials in Washington
Experts say that this is not entirely the fault of health insurance companies. The blame should not be put on the doctors and hospitals. The charges that they ask are just the same. They say that they should be looking through the policies set by the bureaucrats in the Washington.
There have been loads of policies that paved the way for more expensive services. Even medicines are already affected. Urgent care near me is surely more price-friendly way before some of the policies were enacted.
Also, lesser time is spent between the doctor and the patient. A lot were expecting that the Affordable Care Act or the Obamacare will eliminate this problem but, so far, it does not. It is only a mere expansion of the urgent care market.
How Could the Health Insurance System Be Friendlier?
The health insurance system is already in too deep of a hole. However, it is never too late to get it right. A lot of people would say that the problem is the connections. The reason why they are becoming more and more expensive is the middleman.
The more parties are included, the more expensive the insurance becomes. If a sick person can easily negotiate with the urgent care clinic and the insurance company, then, they will not have to spend loads of money on the middleman.
Accessibility and awareness could play an important role in making health services cheaper. Also, giving more choices for the consumers will make the cut. Right now, Obamacare is the only competitor. There is no other ‘middleman’ in the business to handle it.
The issue of health insurance and its prices could cause more serious problems like more uncured illnesses, higher debt, and so on. How do you think should the government do it?
